You aren’t going to find a foolproof way to send zip files through email that works for everyone. Some places have white lists – they block every attachment except a few that they rigorously scan. Other places don’t care about the file name, they scan the file itself and if it looks like a zip file internally, then they’ll still block it. Myfiles.zip is the zip archive and myfiles is the path to extract the files.
Whether this is a bug or a feature can be discussed… Viewers cannot edit PDF files, but they will be able to view them regardless of their operating system or what programs they have.
